A: There are tips on handling a "not so cooperative" dog in my book. There are also techniques to help him understand what grooming is all about and that you are not going to hurt him. Many times dogs that bite at the grooming shop do not bite their owners. Sometimes this is not true and a properly fitting muzzle may be in order. If you use a muzzle as a training tool and not as a punishment tool many times your dog stops biting entirely. Tips to get this result are included. Many techniques to help your dog relax during grooming are also included. It's amazing how the little things can help turn a biting dog in to a cooperating dog.
