Grooming shop owners,
Nothing can replace the individual teaching style of each grooming shop owner. We all want our employees to groom in the basic manner that we do.
When we hire an inexperienced brusher/bather we are usually looking for someone that is honest, hardworking, motivated, a
self starter, can follow directions, and loves animals. When we find someone that we think will fit the bill we then spend our time and money training them. Wouldn't it be great if we
could cut the cost of training and also find out more about our new employee.
My book, "How to Groom Your Mutt with Love" is a great tool to send home with your newly hired employee. If you have hired a motivated employee, they will come in to work on the first day with an understanding of their job duties as a brusher/bather. Just like sending them home with a manual to prepare them for their work. You save time and money because you spend less time explaining things
to someone that has no idea what you are talking about. With the foundation already in, you can easily build on it with your own personal style and techniques. The person you are talking to should have an understanding of how to clip toenails, what areas to really scrub on a dog or
perhaps wash twice, how to pluck ears etc....
Although nothing can replace hands on training, my book can cut down the time it takes to properly train a brusher/bather during the busy
hectic days of dog grooming.
